More than fifteen people were killed in a traffic accident that occurred on the night of Wednesday, March 31 to Thursday, April 1, 2021, in Nambonkaha, a locality located on the Ferkessedougou-Ouangolodougou road.

The road has killed again. One week after the serious accident that killed several people on the Yamoussoukro-Bouaflé road, another similar traffic accident occurred on the night of Wednesday, March 31, 2021, on the Ferkessedougou-Ouangolodougou road, precisely in the locality of Nambonkaha. The provisional toll is 16 people killed.

According to witnesses, the tragedy occurred at around 4 am. The bus violently collided with a parked trailer truck at the bridge at the exit of Nambonkaha. The impact was so violent that the broken down trailer truck was pushed back several meters.

From the wrecked bus, several bodies were removed. The images are unbearable. Passengers are trapped in the vehicle. The civilian fire department and health workers from the Ferkessédougou general hospital were overwhelmed.
