NIGERIA: Wearing a wedding ring is a sin

Partager avec :

Everyone has their own point of view, everyone has their own way of interpreting what is written in the Bible. A Nigerian evangelist named Victor Edet, notes that wearing a wedding ring is not mentioned even once in the holy book. A subject and statement that could provoke a great debate among church leaders or even among people practising this custom. Will a simple evangelist like him succeed in conquering the whole world to leave this ritual aside?

Victor Edet, insists on his theory, analysed from the Bible, that wearing the covenant is a sin. He posted on his Facebook page that wearing a wedding ring is a sin against God. Victor said that the creator has neither written nor specified in the 2 Testaments that the bride and groom must wear a ring after their wedding.

However, he states without hesitation that it is an act that will lead many people to hell. "Nowhere in the Bible is it written that we must marry with a ring. Wearing the covenant is a sin and it will lead you to hell, mind you. Isaiah3:16-26," he posted on his Facebook page.

According to reports, the issue will be discussed and some will also look for Bible verses to oppose this statement. Nowadays, pastors and other leaders of evangelical churches raise issues to create controversy.
