SOUTH AFRICA: Father of tenfold babies refuses public donations

No one has seen the babies yet, not me, not the internet users. This is how Teboga Tsotetsi, the husband of the woman who gave birth to 10 babies, announced his refusal of public donations. He confirms that he has not yet seen his new babies and his wife Gosiame Sithole. This is since she left home on 7 June for the hospital. As a result, he is asking generous people to stop sending him donations for his ten babies.

Teboga Tsotetsi received more than $70,000 in donations for his babies and wife last week, according to the New York Post. He told local newspaper Pretoria News that he appreciates the financial support but people should stop depositing money into their accounts until community members have seen the babies.

No evidence

The birth of the tenfolders, which is said to have broken the world record, has almost made headlines in the world media. However, the fact that there is no evidence, such as photos to verify the fact, has raised doubts among the authorities. The newborns were said to have given birth on 8 June. But no one has seen their faces yet.

In addition, the Gauteng provincial government has stated that none of the province's hospitals, public and private, have recorded a South African woman giving birth to 10 babies.

The CEO of the Steve Biko Teaching Hospital, Dr Mathabo Mathebula, told Radio 702 that Sithole had been in their facilities. But the doctor testified that the lady was there but not to deliver. She is not even in the hospital at the moment. "On Saturday afternoon, she came, accompanied by security guards, and said she wanted to go to the neonatal inpatient unit (NIU) to see her babies. She said she had given birth at Louis Pasteur and they told her they were going to transfer the babies to Steve Biko Hospital," Dr Mathebula disclosed.

However, several other family members claimed that Sithole gave birth to tenfold babies. Furthermore, they added that five of the babies were delivered through the normal route. But she had a C-section for the other five.

One woman told Times live that the babies are still in incubators and fighting for their lives because they are premature, and the mother is still weak.

For cultural and religious reasons, the photos are not yet published, a source said.

On the one hand, Sithole accuses her in-laws of using her children to enrich themselves.
