The events took place during the night of yesterday, Sunday 27 to Monday 28 June 2021. A teacher, whose name we do not want to reveal, negotiated a motorcycle taxi in Dakhagbé (where she works), to go to Khoundindé where she had to drop off a sum of money at her older sister's house, a family source tells us.

According to our informants, when leaving, the motorcycle driver was accompanied by another young man, leaving the passenger in the middle. "When they arrived at a level, far from the eyes of the citizens, the one at the back signalled to the driver to stop. And that's when they took the girl into the bush where they abused her", our informants report.

Intelligent, they say, she asked to accompany him to wherever she was going, arguing that there was no way to get there now. When they arrived in Koumbaya, the teacher grabbed the driver and shouted at the thieves. And that's when the one behind her jumped out to flee. But his partner was arrested and taken to the nearest gendarmerie station. The alleged rapist will be interviewed there, they tell us.

On the spot, he admitted the facts before calling his parents to tell them of his crime. Having listened to their child's explanations, they managed to bring the accomplice back at around 6am. In the coming days, the two alleged rapists will be brought before the courts to determine their fate, it was learned.
