Iran builds its first semi-heavy helicopter

The project of designing and building the first semi-heavy helicopter has been implemented in accordance with international standards. This is thanks to the support of the Vice Presidency of Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Committee of Space Technology and Advanced Transportation Development affiliated to the Iranian Vice Presidency of Scientific and Technological Affairs is supporting it. And, they are in cooperation with the Iran Helicopter Renovation Company (PANHA).

The design and construction of a prototype semi-heavy helicopter has started with the help of knowledge-based companies.

This helicopter belongs to the semi-heavy category and can carry 2 crew members, 13 passengers, 4 blades and 2 engines. Iranian specialists are currently manufacturing the parts of this helicopter. The parts will be manufactured according to the TC world standard and will enter the civil market.

The design and production of medium and semi-heavy helicopters is one of the main objectives of the Committee for Space Technology and Advanced Transportation Development affiliated to the Iranian Vice Presidency for Scientific and Technological Affairs.

The national project for the design and construction of a prototype helicopter is being implemented to utilize the specialized potential of creative and knowledge-based enterprises in this field.
