Tantalum exports from Namibia will shortly start to China

One of the foundations of the Namibian economy is the mining industry. Although the nation is most recognized for its uranium, diamond, and copper resources, tantalum is a new commodity that has the potential to boost sales.

The Tantalite Valley mine in Namibia will start shipping tantalum to China. According to an update released this week and covered by several foreign media outlets, the company's owner Kazera Global thinks everything is set up for its first commercial delivery to a client in the Middle Kingdom.

The firm has worked hard in recent months to raise the tantalum grades at the mine to levels that are economically viable in order to achieve this. According to CEO Dennis Edmonds, who was reported by Morning Star, "We can now move towards considerably boosting tantalum output in the near future."

For Namibia, who will be able to raise mining sector profits, this is fantastic news. This industry, which contributes 10% of the nation's GDP and accounts for more than 50% of exports, is fueled by commodities including uranium, diamonds, copper, manganese, and zinc.
