A farmer and his family were attacked on Sunday 05 September 2021. It happened on the dairy farm in Boslaagte, South Africa. The father of the family was shot and killed. His son and wife were seriously injured.

According to the mother, the incident happened on Sunday at 6.30 pm. The family was caught off guard. Three armed assailants invaded the home of Werner (55), a father and his wife Estelle Buchner.

The attackers managed to enter the family home despite the family's barricades. Mr. Buchner Senior was shot in the back and his son Werner Buchner Junior was shot. The mother of the family, Estelle Buchner, tried to protect her husband and son. She was severely beaten, resulting in serious injuries, including two broken arms.

The mother and her son were taken to Port Elizabeth Hospital (Gqeberha) for treatment. Werner Junior even underwent surgery but his condition is stable according to doctors.

The attackers fled with two mobile phones and cash. All the players responded to the attack and helped the family. The police are investigating but no arrests have been made.
